Hello. I Am Here. is a human listening service, owned by Chrissy Bellers. It exists for a simple reason: some days are too heavy to hold alone, and being heard by a real person helps.
What a sit is
A sit is 15 or 30 minutes in a text chat room with a real human listener. You type; they listen. You can vent about the week, think out loud through a hard decision, or sit in the quiet with someone who isn't going anywhere. Sits are booked ahead on The Couch — you pick a time and a listener, and your listener is there when your sit begins.
What a sit is not
This is emotional support and encouragement. It is not therapy, counseling, medical care, or crisis care. Our listeners never diagnose, treat, or promise an outcome, and there are no phone calls — every sit is text, in the chat room. If you are in crisis, call or text 988, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
What you say stays here
What you say in a sit stays in the sit. Conversations are treated as confidential and are not shared without your consent, except as required by law or safety obligations.
Who the listeners are
Listeners are hand-picked humans — counselors, peers, and people with the degrees and the heart for this work — who sit here in a non-clinical, listening role. They are independent contractors, and each carries their own professional liability (errors and omissions) insurance.
The free sit
Once a month, the door is simply open: Welcome to the Couch is a free 15-minute sit on the last Sunday of every month, 11a–4p Central. No card required.
